51 – 53 OUCH!

So, I know I’ve been away for a while. I have to say that I did day 51 about 2 weeks ago… Afterwards, I couldn’t move very well for about 3 days. It was painful. Since then, I have stopped doing the part after the abs on the muscular structure and just focused on the abs. I’ve also added Nike Training Club 15 minute workouts and done 5 minute portions of them. The abs and back have been my focus so far.

I’m still going with the metamorphasis, but it’s going slow. Stay tuned!!!

49 & …50!

Well it’s taken me longer to get to this point than I was hoping, however, I’m still here! I have to remind you from earlier blogs that this cardio is INTENSE! It’s a lot of jumping and constant moving. High impact and fast paced as well.

Day 49, Not so bad, but felt more difficult than day 48. I knew that the next workout would be my last in this muscular structure series. I tried to push myself, but wasn’t able to as much as I could on day 48.

Day 50 – I really didn’t want to work out today. Really. I did though. It was fine. I was glad after that I did it. Which means to that next workout I will be starting a new muscular structure. I did fail to measure and photo my progress today, but I did weigh myself. I’m holding at 149, which is 25lbs less than I was. I was at 148, but I keep fluctuating between that and 150. I am sure if I work out more regularly it will decrease and stay steadier.  We shall see.

Well perhaps I spoke too soon yesterday. The muscular structure was not easy today. I was struggling to get through the same reps today as yesterday. I was very over it by the time I started the second side of the leg portion. Only two more days on this muscular structure though!

The cardio didn’t seem to be as easy today for me either, but it wasn’t horrible. I dealt.

On a food note, I had fish and chips tonight! Yum. The chips weren’t as good as I remembered, but Andrew said they tasted like frozen chips that were baked in the oven, so he didn’t think they were great either. Oh well.

This weekend is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to work out the rest of the weekend, but hopefully at least once more before Wednesday!

46 1/2 & 47

I bet you thought you’d never hear from me again with the rate I was posting at in the last 15 days… zero! I haven’t been working out. Well, I did last Thursday, but only Hip Hop Abs, (hence the half) and that was it until today. I was sick, very sick with the flu a couple weeks ago and finally felt good enough to do Tracy today.

I didn’t want to do Tracy today, but surprisingly, the cardio wasn’t so bad. I thought it was going to be horrific after not doing it for a couple weeks. THerefore, I waited til about 5:30pm to even begin. Once I finished the cardio, I was dreading the leg portion of the muscular structure and almost decided not to do it. But I did and I’m glad for it. It wasn’t anywhere near as bad as what I was imagining in my head!

I do have to say that while I was doing the muscular structure there are two songs that I really enjoyed listening to that are both a bit slower. The first was ‘Say When’ by the Fray. The other was Secret Place by Andy Six. Both great songs and both great artists! As you may be able to tell, I’m up to ‘S’ on my iPod.

My eating habits haven’t been as great the past couple of weeks, but I’m still trying to watch my calorie intake. I am eating some simple carbs here and there which isn’t as good for me, but I’m still losing weight, so that’s good news.

45 & 46

Hard to believe I’m already halfway through this muscular structure. I pushed myself harder on the reps on both days. Hard work pays off I guess. I’m now down 21lbs from the beginning of the workout. Yay!

It is hard work too. Hard to resist all the treats that are put in my path. Haven’t been doing a great job of that as of late. Hard to work out all the time. Hard to push myself through the reps when I’[m exhausted. I’m working on it though.

Trying to eat healthy, keep working out, and stay focused on the goal. 21 down, 29 to go. I’d even settle for another 24 or 25. That’s when I felt so good a couple years ago. Then I became the human vacuum and ate everything in sight! :( My next workout will probably be on Wednesday.

43 1/2 & 44

Wednesday I did do the Hip Hop Abs cardio. It was all I could muster to do that. I thought, must work out!  Couldn’t handle Tracy, so I went for the shorter workout. So sue me. I kept thinking of that pin I saw on Pinterest. Something to the effect of no matter how slow you go, you’re still lapping everyone on the couch. True.

Today though, Thursday, I did the Tracy cardio and the Tracy muscular structure. I worked up a good sweat doing the cardio today, and maintained it during the structure. I pushed myself to do more reps today than I had the last time, so I felt that was good.

I haven’t been eating well this week though. Can I have one day a week when I’m not carb free? Is that doable? I could probably stick it out another month and not really indulge in the carbs, but it’s difficult to avoid them all the time. Ah, oh well.

I did NOT want to work out today. It’s a bank holiday Monday and I just wanted to relax with my husband, however, I did anyway. It was fine. Hard work, but fine. I still hate the cardio, although, I seem to be getting a bit better at it and know the routine failry well.

The muscular structure is difficult, but doesn’t seem to be as bad as some previous 10 day structures. I am not able to do 40 reps of each exercise like she wants, but I’m pushing myself and doing what I can.

Tomorrow I probably will not workout, but will try to on Wednesday, even if it’s hip hop abs, and then should be good to do so the rest of the week as well. Foodwise, I’m sticking to a low calorie diet as best I can, but not following Tracy’s plan. It’s too difficult and too expensive.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to work out on Saturday, so on my usual rest day yesterday, I worked out instead. Not only did I do the cardio and muscular structure for Tracy, but spent hours walking around London. I did still go over calories though, so I guess all that calorie burning was important.

I have to say there are a couple things about this muscular structure. Let’s start with the bad. Days 41 through 50. She talks about how seeing changes in the arms is something that is really exciting and how that’s one of the first things I’ll notice changing. Except, I haven’t seen any changes in my arms. I have seen them in my thighs and stomach though. Something else that bothers me is the last rep on each side, she does this level thing with her leg, but does it very differently on each side. One side she makes an up and down toward the floor/ceiling motion, and the other side does a crunching movement with the leg toward the wall and back toward the stomach motion. It’s so annoying. Good things… The movements are again creative. The other bonus is that she does tell you how many reps you are doing when you get onto your hands and knees for all but two of the exercises. So again, inconsistent and annoying, but at least she says on most of them.

41… Oh my glutes and abs!

Wow. Started the new muscular structure today. I have to say that even while knowing I’m going to be out tonight eating more calories, but yet dancing and helping to burn them off… I still really, really, really didn’t want to work out today. I did though.

The cardio was as per usual. The muscular structure though… Today is the start of the 5th level. She mentions that arms and abs are going to move much faster. She wasn’t kidding! The abs were really burning today while doing the exercises. ugh. Then when doing the legs/glutes exercises, I felt like I was still working my abs a lot. If my belly and butt don’t shrink during this 10 day structure, I’m going to be UPset. It’s a lot of hard work. Again I ask, why can’t it come off as easily as it gets put on?!?

On a plus note, I did weigh/measure myself today as I didn’t yesterday. I did lose an inch of my waist, which is great, and if I recall correctly, and inch off my hips, which is probably due to all that planking from the last 10 days.

39 1/2 & 40

I did workout yesterday, which technically would be the 40th, but I only did the cardio. So here I am at day 40. Not where I thought I’d be at this point, but I’m almost halfway through and have lost 20 pounds. That’s quite good for two months I think. Plus I’m on par with my goal for my New Year’s resolution, which was to lose an average of 5 pounds a month for at least the first 6 months of the year. So far so good!

I have to say that I still hate this muscular structure, although the cardio seems to be getting a bit easier. This weekend I will not be eating well though, so I’m worried about that. I want to stay on track, but I know with a football dinner/dance Friday, and a special dinner out on Sunday that I will consume carbs and more calories than I want to consume. I cannot constantly worry about calories, but can’t not worry about them at all like I used to do.

Ah well. New muscular structure starts tomorrow! I need to take my 10 day photos that I didn’t take today as well, and measurements.
